I don't know anything about recording, how do I go about it?We'll take you through it step by step. You don't need any technical or even marketing knowledge. In fact, you can create your recording from right where you are. We'll help you define what you want to create, and we'll do it for you. We're here to listen, assist and produce. To start, click here:Voice over production overview How much does it cost?Each project is quoted individually. Our basic studio rates start from as low as R485/hour. Production and creatives quoted per job. Same day service, after hours, public holiday work available +35%. How long does it take?A voice over reading of under 5 minutes can be available online in 3 days. Radio ads take 7 days and jingles take 10 days. What format does the recording come in?Standard voice recording comes in your choice of wav, aiff or mp3 formats, and is made available to you either on CD or as a download. In addition, we create voice over soundtracks to .mov files and .avi files and turn Flash files - .flv, .swf, .exe (flash executable) - in .mov and .avi files with a soundtrack. You also can request the audio be divided into different sections and sent as separate audio files, by indicating the break points on the script. If you need help with formats we can assist. Where are you?Note: Online option means with ADSL you can order and download your recordings from anywhere. If you'd like to use our facilities yourself, we're at Urban Mix House, 14 Gordon St, Gardens, central Cape Town, within a minute's walk of Dunkley Square, the Media Hive, casting, broadcast, film and advertising agencies, restaurants, shops and a 24 hour Woolworths. Can I hire studio time only?Yes. If you have your own voice artist, script and producer, we'll supply an engineer and you can use our facilities yourself. This is not recommended for those without studio production experience. The rate for studio time is R550 p/h including VAT. How do I pay?In South Africa: Via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), bank deposit, or by credit card online using a payment gateway. We don't accept cheques. Rest of the world: Via Paypal What about quality?The voice over is created in our studio on Academy Award-winning Pro Tools software primarily with the Rode K2 microphone voted "Best Studio Microphone" by 49 industry publications. In addition, your audio is always digitally recorded and edited at 24-bit. 24-bit sound has 256 times the resolution of CD quality audio. Even when mastered to 16-bit for manufacture or broadcast, the benefits of 24 bit recording are still heard. Simply put, 24-bit recording gives listeners more of the feeling that the voice is right there with them. How do I get started? |
